Chickpeas! You can't say anything until you have tried it! For every sweet craving without the extra added sugars! A protein packed delight. Try the recipe and see for yourself.
Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cake
1/3 cup Maple syrup
1/2 cup Almond milk
1 can Chickpeas/Garbanzos
1/2 cup Almond flour
1/2 cup Old fashioned oats
1/3 cup Semi crushed walnuts
1/4 cup NuttZo Nut Butter
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Sea salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/3 cup Get Back To Human Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips ( you can use any chocolate chips)
1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a blender add eggs, maple syrup, almond milk chickpeas, almond flour, old fashioned oats, your choice of nut butter (I like the NutZo brand), vanilla extract, sea salt, baking powder and baking soda.
2. Blend the ingredients until the batter is nice a smooth. Add 2/3 cup chocolate chips and 2/3 cups walnuts to the batter and fold it in with a spoon.
3. Line a 9x9 baking sheet with wax paper. Pour the batter into the pan.
4. Top the mixture with the rest of chocolate chips and walnuts and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Poke a fork or toothpick in the middle of the cake after 20 minutes. If it does not come out clean bake for an extra 5 minutes.
