Welcome to In Health and Moderation!

Building a healthy relationship with food and fitness.

What's up everyone! Welcome to my blog where I discuss food, fitness and share recipes that are not only delicious but also good for your body. No more eating the same boring protein, vegetables and rice. Rather you can take these same ingredients and create something absolutely delicious while still including your macros (protein, carbs and fats).

Health

What to put in your body? If it grows in the ground then you are definitely making the right ingredient choices for your food. My advice to you is to stick to proteins like chicken, turkey, beef, salmon etc, lots of colorful veggies, carbs like rice, sweet potatoes, oats and finally fats like avocado, olive oil, nut butters and more. This is called balanced diet. It is all about balance which is why we go into the next section...

Moderation

How many times have you felt guilty about eating something off your meal plan or not healthy. Ask yourself this question. Do you eat like this all the time? If yes then you have identified the problem and next best step is to seek how to begin making healthier choices. Leave the past behind and start making better food choices today. If yes, you eat something outside of that healthy lifestyle every once in while... forgive your self and move forward and continue to make healthy food choices. It is okay to have "moderation meals" once a week or every other week. Don't feel guilty. You should never feel guilty. If you eat a mainly unhealthy diet, then make a plan on how to make healthier choices rather then feeling guilty. If you have a slice of pizza every once in a blue moon... then enjoy it! and continue forward with you healthy life style.

Let's do it!

Let's make healthy living something to look forward to. Remember it is all about balance. I am here to help you build a good relationship with your food and fitness.
